I wanted a tattoo like this because my grandpa died last summer. He was both wise and old, like an owl, and I wanted him to stay with me all the time. That’s why I decided to tattoo an owl with a heart necklace while holding a key, like if he’s watching me and my heart at the same time as he’s there. I miss him a lot, but this tattoo made me feel complete and watched.
